Behavioral Assessments & Consultation

We begin every treatment with a thorough understanding of the individual. Our behavioral and developmental assessments provide the foundation for effective personalized ABA therapy. These tools allow us to identify skill strengths, development needs, behavior patterns, and barriers to learning, ensuring that every treatment plan is tailored to the child’s unique profile.

Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA)

A comprehensive evaluation of behaviors that interfere with learning or daily functioning. FBAs identify the environmental triggers and consequences that maintain problem behaviors and help us design effective, function-based Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).

VB-MAPP (Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program)

Assesses early language, learning, and social milestones for children with autism and developmental delays. VB-MAPP helps us determine baseline skills and set goals across areas such as manding (requesting), tacting (labeling), imitation, listener responding, and play.

Essential for Living (EFL)

Designed for learners with limited verbal abilities, EFLs focuses on functional communication, daily living skills, and behavioral toleration. This assessment is ideal for clients with severe disabilities and emphasizes skills that improve quality of life.

ABLLS-R (Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills-Revised)

A comprehensive tool for identifying skill deficits across a wide range of areas including language, academic, motor, and self-help skills. It’s especially useful for designing early intervention programs for children with autism.

PEAK (Promoting the Emergence of Advanced Knowledge)

A modern behavior analytic tool that evaluates complex learning abilities such as problem-solving, perspective-taking, and relational learning. PEAK supports the development of higher-order cognitive and social skills.

Vineland-3 (Adaptive Behavior Scales)

A norm-referenced assessment measuring personal and social skills across communication, daily living, and socialization. Often used for eligibility determinations, progress tracking, and adaptive skill goal-setting.
